The amazing, graceful, epic, petty, and wonderful characters from Wandering Spirits
Haha the title pretty much says it all, these are the characters I have pounded out so far. I am two parts discovery writer, so many of the characters we will meet will be introduced as we go along, so stay tuned to meet more new, fantastic people! In the meantime, meet these fantastic, sweet main characters I have, due to be introduced in their own good time.
BEFORE YOU GET all up in my grill for stealing from Didney... lemme splain...
I created this character, and he jumped out in front of me and was like MY NAME IS HIRO
and I was like... I can't... I can't call you that.
And then he refused to be a viable character otherwise SO! His name is Hiro. Deal with it...
He's your regular fanboy from Earth, a resident of NYC going to college and waiting for the adventures he's always dreamed of to one day find him. He's got no interest in reality, or anyone else for that matter, and his main goal in life is to be as epic as he can as often as he can. He's a diva, drama queen, spotlight-hogger, and he has a heart of Gold, when he can get over his self-obsessiveness.
His favorite pastimes include reading YA novels, playing D&D, and obsessing over TV shows like Avatar and Game of Thrones. He secretly thinks he's Link from Legend of Zelda.
Marnie is probably one of my favorite characters... Actually I just love them all.
She's a pariah, a lost hero that has fallen out of time and out of memory, literally. She is awesome, she just knows she is, she just can't remember why. An amnesiac, and having fallen mysteriously onto the roof of Hiro's apartment in a fateful encounter with dangerous magic, she is looking for the things that have been lost to her. Memory, time, identity, and the pieces of her life that her heart aches for but can't remember.
She is loyal, stoic, dependable, wise, and can read people like an open book.
Once, she was known as 'Cursebreaker.'
also she's kickass
Clarance - a lost soul, much like Marnie. No one knows much about him, only that wherever he goes, his mysteriously silent counterpart, Mido, follows.
Identified by his froggy master as a Golem, Mido tails behind the intrepid adventurers like a ghost, a memory of things forgotten.
Clarance himself is a hard man, well, frog to deal with. A mercenary, a mobster, and a connoisseur of really good knives, he is known for his ability to get the team to the right place, and knows the connections they need in the more... unfavorable parts of the fourty-two worlds.
also he's adorable don't mess with him but he's cute and wonderful and full of secret adorableness.
Farrah... will take crap from no man.
She, like many of our players in this wonderful adventure, has been cursed to accept any gift given her. When a young lover unwittingly offers his hand in marriage, Farrah runs away from home, absolutely REFUSING to marry a man when she has other, more important things to do with her life...
Like figure out how to make the biggest mess with magical chalk that she possibly can.
She is obsessed with magic, and with being in charge. She knows what's up, and if you sass her, get ready for the biggest verbal lashing you never knew you deserved.
She's a queen, heir to the throne of Theanad, and is the boss nass of the Nass nass.
And, last of all, the enigma, Natiche.
Little is known about him, all they know is that in their efforts to restore balance to the chaos that is the fourty -two worlds, Natiche always seems to be right in their shadow, ready to take what they achieve, steal power, memory, or time with impunity.
Ridiculously powerful, secretly sinister, mysterious and chaotic, Natiche is an enigma and a riddle no one knows the answer to, and no one wants to cross.
As they run towards the things they can change, and learn to overcome insecurities and make an effort to be better, Natiche is always there, biting at thier heels and making them trip over the things they didn't realize would challenge them.
Basically the point I'm trying to get across here is that He's a secret badguy and not good news for anyone ok? Ok cool.
